Kristina Nissen, CFA

Kristina Nissen is a Principal, Chief Operating Officer, and Portfolio Manager at TriNexus Capital, LLC. Mrs. Nissen works alongside the Chief Investment Officer in managing the firm’s equity portfolios, conducting quantitative and fundamental research and overseeing the firm’s trading operations. Mrs. Nissen has spent over a decade working with and refining quantitative investment strategies that capture fundamentally-based approaches.
Prior to TriNexus, Mrs. Nissen was with Beaconcrest Capital Management, an investment adviser and general partner to a long-short equity fund as well as other institutional and individual clients. Mrs. Nissen joined Beaconcrest in 2011. In her role, she worked directly with the Founder and CIO, as well as the Director of Research, managing equity strategies and conducting equity research. In addition, Mrs. Nissen also handled all of the firm’s middle and back office functions to include trading and compliance.
Mrs. Nissen began her career in the financial industry at Portfolio Asset Management, an investment adviser in Albuquerque, New Mexico focused on multi-asset class strategies. There, Mrs. Nissen worked directly for the CIO, providing research on various asset classes and assisting with portfolio construction and rebalancing. She also provided support and assisted with the management of client relationships.
Mrs. Nissen received her M.B.A. from the University of New Mexico’s Anderson School of Management and her B.S. in Business Management from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Mrs. Nissen holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analysts Society.
